Registration opens every year on the first day of fall. Registrations are completed online by visiting our website, www.hideawaydaycamp.com, and selecting the SIGN UP tab. A $300 deposit is required at the time of registration and balance is due by May 1st.

Campers should bring a lunch, bathing suit and towel, complete change of clothes, water shoes for creek walks, flip flops that can be worn to/from the pool, and sunscreen.

Campers should bring a packed lunch (with an extra snack for snack time) daily. At the time of registration, campers may sign up for Pizza Mondays receiving two slices of pizza, gatorade and a choice of snack.

Hideaway operates five days a week (closed on the 4th of July) and no part-time or half-day options are available. We will assist campers who may arrive late or miss days because of ESY participation.

The camp day runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Campers may arrive as late as 9:15am. There is a before care program that begins at 8:00am and an after care program that ends at 5:00pm. Campers may arrive to camp anytime after 8:30am with no charge and may be picked up until 4:00pm with no charge. Our office and property hours are 8:00am-5:00pm., with limited hours of operation in the off-season (September-May). The camp property serves also as a private residence. Please call the office to schedule a visit during the off-season.

Our camp day is filled with many wonderful activities, including a swimming lesson, free swim, arts & crafts, drama, archery, gaga, nature study, high ropes, low ropes, miniature golf, creek walks, field activities and many more. Campers will rotate through six, 40-minute periods daily, participating in each specialty area twice a week. Families will receive a complete daily schedule via email once our season begins.

Campers are grouped by age and gender. Our very youngest group (pre-K) and oldest group (teens) are co-ed and have multiple counselors. We allow no more than 15 campers per week/per group.

Our counselors, specialists and assistants are teachers and mature college students. We are very proud of our staff and invite you to check out our Staff Page to read more about our summer family. Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check and a Driver Records Check are required for employment.

Campers who attend four weeks or more have the option of transportation. Campers are picked up at your home, work, or central location (if your home does not fall within our pick up area)  between 8:00-9:00a.m. A more specific time will be assigned before camp begins and is dependent upon your location and your camper’s pick up/drop off order. Transportation must be limited to one address for both morning and afternoon. Due to the logistics of determining the routes each week, your child’s driver and pick up/drop time may change throughout the summer.

You may drop off your camper anytime after 8:30am with no charge. You can park in our lot and walk your camper up to our Flagpole area, or have them check-in by themselves. Our before care staff will be there to greet them. If you are picking up your camper at the end of the day, please arrive after 3:30pm, since our vans depart right at the end of the day. Parents or guardians will sign out their campers at the check-in desk at the Flagpole area.

It is not necessary to sign up for before and/or after-care ahead of time. Before camp hours begin at 8:00a.m. and after camp hours end at 5:00p.m. There is a $3 charge per camper for any camper dropped off before 8:30a.m. and a $3 charge/30 minutes per camper picked up after 4:00p.m. Payment is due daily or weekly (cash, credit card or check accepted). Parents may also prepay, but only once camp begins.

Please call the office to let us know your camper will be absent or when we can expect them to arrive. If arriving late, please check them in to the main office and we will join them with their group.

This is the only optional activity at camp. The cost is $30/lesson with a discount if the camper rides 5x/week. The riding lessons are 40 minutes, like other periods, and take place during the camp day. No experience is necessary.

Campers ride throughout the day and will miss a scheduled camp activity in order to do so. If they are scheduled to ride weekly (1x-5x), the lessons will not be on the same day or time each week. A schedule is made each morning. If a lesson is missed due to weather or a scheduling error, and is not able to be rescheduled, a reimbursement will be issued. Lessons may also be added throughout the summer, provided there is room in the riding program. Please refer to our Camper Handbook for more information and what items are required for your camper to ride.

We recommend that all campers come to camp in the morning with applied sunscreen and/or bug/tick repellent/ivy block. We will reapply sunscreen to our younger campers after their morning swim lesson is complete. Our older campers will reapply it themselves, also after their morning swim lesson. Campers must bring in their own sunscreen, with their name clearly marked. It will be kept in the office for the duration of their camp stay so that it can be reapplied as needed. All sunscreen must be in the form of a spray. Please send in enough for their entire camp stay. Siblings must each bring in their own sunscreen.

Payments can be made easily by selecting the MAKE A PAYMENT tab on our website, www.hideawaydaycamp.com. Payments can be made at any time and for any amount as long as full payment is received by May 1st. Checks may also be mailed to: Hideaway Day Camp, 3471 Arcola Road, Collegeville, PA 19426. No reimbursements are issued after May 1st for cancellations.

Tours are given two Saturdays a month beginning in January (depending on weather). Once our season begins in June, tours are given daily, M-F. No weekend tours are given during the summer months and fall. All tours are by appointment only and begin from our parking area. Please call the office to schedule.
